The Balancing Act
The Balancing Act television program is home to the very popular “Mission Makeover” series, which empowers women to take control of their health and wellness through diet, exercise and emotional healing. For 2013, The Balancing Act followed the journeys of three average American women as they were supported by an A-list team of industry experts.

Mission Makeover is presented by The Balancing Act host Julie Moran and supported by special guest Tony Horton. Tony is a 25-year fitness veteran who has served and inspired a global audience. On The Balancing Act, Tony Horton provided a “Menu of the Week” for the show’s contestants.

Fitness trainer Adrianna Martin joined The Balancing Act and Mission Makeover for a second season. Martin is a Pilates enthusiast who uses social media to help others stay fit. Dr. Gaby Cora, a well-known psychiatrist and resident therapist on The Balancing Act, mentored the women on the show through their emotional roller coasters rides.

The Balancing Act and Mission Makeover enlisted the help of the talented Lisa Cera to show women across the country that style was in the eye of the beholder and to prove that all body types could look good quite simply. Lisa has used her eclectic flair to stylize some of the world’s most famous names including Dewayne Wade, Paula Abdul and Shakira.

Traci Scaletta is a registered dietitian who joined The Balancing Act for Mission Makeover in season two. She holds a degree from Ohio State University and has had her own private nutrition counseling practice for more than two decades. Traci specializes in weight loss and sports nutrition.

Season two of Mission Makeover on The Balancing Act allowed 26-year-old Alexandra Arguella, mother of five Blanca Varela, and retired airline professional Brenda Selner to find the strength to meet their respective goals. The Balancing Act airs weekday mornings on Lifetime Television.
